PVC Pressure 45 Degree Bend

PVC Pressure 45° Bend (Cat 10)

Description:
The PVC Pressure 45° Bend (Cat 10) is designed to change the direction of a pressure pipeline by 45 degrees. This FF (female–female) fitting allows the pipe to be securely inserted into both ends and fixed using solvent cement for a watertight, long-lasting joint.

Constructed from high-quality PVC-U (unplasticised polyvinyl chloride), this fitting provides excellent resistance to corrosion, chemicals, and impact, making it a reliable choice for a wide range of pressure applications.

Key Features:

  • 45° bend for smooth directional changes in pipelines
  • FF fitting – pipe fits inside both ends
  • High-strength PVC-U for durability and longevity
  • Corrosion, chemical, and UV resistant
  • Compatible with PVC pressure pipes PN4.5 – PN18
  • White or off-white finish
  • Wide range of sizes from 12mm to 150mm

Applications:

  • Potable water supply
  • Pumped sewerage and effluent pipelines
  • Irrigation and turf watering systems
  • Slurry and recycled water transport
  • Pressure sewerage systems
  • Gas distribution (with special yellow pipe)

Specifications:

  • Material: PVC-U (rigid)
  • Angle: 45°
  • Jointing System: Solvent Cement Joint (SCJ)
  • Pressure Rating: PN18 (1800 kPa)
  • Temperature Range: 0°C to 50°C (special considerations required outside this range)
  • Standards:
    • AS/NZS 1477 – PVC pipes and fittings for pressure applications
    • AS/NZS 4020 – Products for use in contact with drinking water
  • Compliance: WaterMark certified
  • Curing Time: 24 hours required before pressurisation

Performance Notes:

  • Suitable for above-ground and underground applications
  • Not typically used in domestic housing installations
  • Ensures smooth flow transition, minimising pressure loss
