PVC Pressure Equal Tee
PVC Pressure Equal Tee (Cat 19)
Description:
PVC Pressure Equal Tees are designed to create a branch in pipework where all ends are the same size. The branch is positioned at 90° to the main run, with the pressure pipe fitting inside each end. These fittings are ideal for applications where a uniform branch connection is required.
Material:
Manufactured from durable PVC-U, the fittings are rigid and built for long-lasting performance. Pipes are available in 6-meter lengths.
Installation:
The fittings are joined using solvent cement (SCJ system). Allow 24 hours for the joint to set before pressurizing. Installation should follow the PVC-U installation guide.
Applications:
- Pumped sewerage and effluent pipelines
- Potable water
- Irrigation and turf watering
- Slurry transport
- Pressure sewerage
- Water supply
- Recycled water
Note: This system is generally not used in domestic housing but is suitable for both above-ground and underground installations. For gas applications, use special yellow PVC pipe.
Specifications:
- Pressure Rating: PN18 (1800 kPa)
- Pipe Compatibility: PN4.5 to PN18
- Operating Temperature: 0°C – 50°C (special considerations required outside this range)
- Colour: White or off-white
- Standards: AS/NZS 1477 (PVC pipes & fittings for pressure applications), AS/NZS 4020 (suitable for contact with drinking water), Watermark compliant
Available Sizes:
- PPF230 — 12mm x 12mm (EQ)
- PPF232 — 20mm x 20mm (EQ)
